What information we collect
This is a brochure website with no accounts, no online forms and no payment processing. We only collect personal information in a small number of ways:
- When you email us. If you contact us at the address above, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to include in your message.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and security provider automatically records limited technical data such as IP addresses and browser type in order to serve the site and keep it secure.
- Website analytics. We measure overall traffic using Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless tool. It reports aggregate figures such as page views and referring sites, and does not identify individual visitors or track them across sites. See our Cookie Policy for more.
How we use your information and our lawful basis
We use the information above to:
- respond to your enquiry and correspond with you about it;
- provide, maintain and secure this website; and
- keep basic business records.
Our lawful basis for processing enquiry information is our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us and in running our business, and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Our lawful basis for technical and security data is our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of trusted service providers who process information on our behalf, such as our email and IT providers and our website hosting and security provider. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we take steps to ensure your information is protected by an appropriate safeguard, such as a UK adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records, and then delete them. Technical and analytics data is kept only for a short period or in aggregate form.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, please email us at info@digilab.io and we will respond within the time limits set by law.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page.
