Accessibility
DigiLab is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, whatever their abilities or the technology they use. We aim to meet the internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we do
- Build pages with semantic, standards-based HTML so they work with screen readers and other assistive technologies.
- Make every feature operable with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Maintain sufficient colour contrast for text and interface elements.
- Provide descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Avoid relying on JavaScript, so the site keeps working across browsers and devices.
- Support text resizing and zoom, and lay the site out responsively from mobile to desktop.
Ongoing testing
We check the site with automated tools and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing, and we consider accessibility from the start of every change rather than as an afterthought.
