A national healthcare organisation's staff had to manage separate logins for the many different systems they use every day. We were brought in to deliver the login gateway at the heart of a single, secure sign-on, so staff sign in once and reach the systems they need.

The challenge
The client, a national healthcare organisation, has a large workforce that relies on many different computer systems to do their jobs. Each of those systems had its own separate login, so staff had to remember and manage a different set of credentials for every one. That is slow, frustrating and a security risk: the more passwords people have to juggle, the more likely they are to be lost, reused or written down. The organisation needed a single, secure way for staff to prove who they are once and then reach all the systems they are allowed to use.
Our approach
We were brought in to deliver the login gateway at the heart of that single sign-on.
- One secure sign-on. We built the gateway that staff log into once. Instead of a separate username and password for every system, they prove who they are a single time, through one trusted login.
- A safe way to connect the systems. The gateway uses established, industry-standard sign-in methods, the same kind of trusted "sign in with" flows used across the web, so each connected system can rely on who the user is without ever handling their password itself.
- Built for a sensitive environment. Because this is healthcare, the login had to be both secure and dependable. We built it to the standard that kind of environment demands, so staff can get to what they need quickly and safely.
The result
Staff sign in once and reach the systems they need, instead of juggling a separate login for each one. The gateway went live and was used, giving the workforce a single, secure front door to their everyday systems in place of the password sprawl that slowed them down before.
